Cecily strong

Cecily Legler Strong, an American stand-up comedian and performer, is well known for her performance as a cast member in 'Saturday Night Live.' Her stage career started in the theatre but she became drawn to comedy after taking an improv class at the age of nine years old. Her initial goal was to become an actress, but realized she had a talent for comedy. The focus of her professional career was shifted to Improv. She started her career aboard cruise ships along with fellow members of Second City Conservatory, iO Chicago and improv troupes. Strong was able to continue performing in popular shows like Chicago Sketch Fest, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, New York Sketchfest, and Virgin Daiquiri, the only female improv group. She became famous in 2012 following her appearance as a cast member on "Saturday Night Live" in the 39th season as a guest cast member anchoring Weekend Update with Seth Meyers at first as well as Colin Jost later. Cecily's most defining moment on the series was in the episode 'The Girl You'd Rather Not Started a Conversation with in a Bar'. That same year, she made her film debut in 'How to sponsor a Uterus.
